Hi Laura,

I used your handy form to send a message to my legislators, but you have listed our recently ousted unrepresentative Brandon Williams. NY 22 is now fortunate to have representation in the House with John Mannion. (a former teacher!).

Thanks for all you do.

Lynn,

Thank you for sending this. Another reader had the same trouble yesterday. We contacted our service provider, and they are in the process of updating their system with contact info for new Members. They understand this is urgent in light of not just our campaign but numerous other fast track bills. I'll send a post when this is done, but in th meantime, here is the link to find House contact info: https://www.house.gov/representatives

Here is the info for the Senate: https://www.senate.gov/senators/senators-contact.htm

The body of the draft email is here:

Dear ______,

I am a concerned constituent writing to express my strong opposition to the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act (SAVE Act).

Most Americans believe our democracy is stronger when voters have equal access to the ballot box and when the voices of everyday Americans can be heard. The SAVE Act goes against those democratic values by disenfranchising millions of eligible voters.

The SAVE Act would do nothing to safeguard our elections, but it would make it much harder for millions of eligible Americans to register to vote and increase the risk that eligible voters are purged from voter rolls.

I urge Congress to reject the SAVE Act, and instead focus on measures that expand access to voting, protect the integrity of our elections, and ensure that every voter’s voice is heard. Democracy thrives when it includes all of us.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

[your name]
